Random Thought...

Ok, no offense to any of y'all out there that smoke but...

I'm sitting here at the laundromat looking out the window at pouring rain, watching the lightning strike, and listening to the thunder roll like someone up there in heaven is bowling strike after strike when I catch a whiff of a cigarette. So I'm like nah...impossible. Low and behold, there the lady is, sitting on the sidewalk puffin' away.

Y'all some soldiers for real. Y'all will go outside and take y'all smoke break in any weather. It couldn't be me. Lol.

Ecstasy

you've got me....
hooked
like a fish on a line
...that was
wading in the water
minding his own...
until you put...
the business on...
me

slowly you walked by
showing off all that God blessed you with
enhanced
by a little somethin' somethin'
that a man that loves
for a woman to
smell like a woman
simply
cannot resist

ahhh
i can feel the mist
rising off of the heat that
is rising between us
as we
build up to that moment

not caring about our surroundings
we begin to dance...
and slowly...we
connect
we...
merge
we...
embrace
we...challenge one another
in a moment of passion
fogging up the clear skies above us
filling the atmosphere
with pure ecstasy

i love her
like I love myself
maybe
even a little more...

simply because of her purpose
and
who she is in my life...
or
who i am
because of her...

she loves me like God does...
without condition
no matter
what situation may arise...
I can always
look into her eyes and
see her soul smiling at me
I'm so grateful

Let Me teach You How To Smile Again

gone are the painful days
all the hurt
the
broken promises
the
shattered dreams...

a new life begins now
with God
with me
with...us
starting fresh and
leaving the past
buried
in your rear view mirror

let me
teach you
how to smile again
that it may
from this day forth
forever
come naturally to you

let me
restore the happiness
that once resided in you
the trust
that you always gave
the love
that he spoke of
yet never delivered

let me love you
like you've always dreamed
remember
how you felt
when
those fantasies roamed through your mind
when
you were touched...
mind body and soul
completely
just as a woman should be

let me
walk with you
not behind you
not in front of you
but besides you
just as we were meant to be
rejoined
as man an woman
honoring you
with every step we take

let me
teach
you how to
smile again
ear to ear
cheekbones rising
eyes sparkling
teeth showing
with a hint of
what we call blushing

allow God
to show you
why I'm here
to verify to you...
that the past is gone
and our future
resides within
the permanent embrace
that He has placed in our souls
